Matrix is Rhino with the repetition taken out.
In Rhino you place every stone and build every prong yourself. In Matrix you reach for the gem map, the baguette builder, the taper channel and the prong editor, and a forty-stone pavé that used to take an afternoon takes twenty minutes. That is the honest argument for it. Not better pieces — forty versions of the same piece while the client is still deciding.
Which is exactly why it comes second. Matrix assumes you can already model. Take Rhino first, or the builders turn into magic buttons you cannot debug on the day a stone sits proud of the metal.
Phase one is the stone and setting toolkit: stone library, diamond cutter and micro cutter, prong editor, ring rail, diamond chart, custom gem builder, baguette builder, taper channel, gem map. Phase two moves to pieces — solitaire, western and cocktail rings, studs, danglings and jhumka, pendants from light to heavy — with rendering for highlighting. Phase three is bangles, bracelets and necklaces, ending in a production project you submit.
